So I finally just got a call back from my church. wedding is on a friday, wanted to do the rehersal that wednesday at around 7. WELL, she calls me back and tells me that there is confermation rehearsal on that tuesday and wednesday at 7 so I can only have my rehersal on either of those days at either 6pm or 8:15pm. 6 is SOOOO early and the BP would have to leave their jobs early to get there (and I already feel bad they have to take off fri for the wedding ) and 8:15 is SO late if we wanted to have a dinner after. I asked if thursday was available and was told that since there is nothing going on on thursday they would have to have someone specially open the church for us and they really frown upon that. What the hell is my mandatory donation for then!!! (really dont want it on thursday anyway so its really not an issue... just the point ) so I dont know what to do =(
Sorry its long... WOW I think this might be my first Official vent lol
I need opinions.. help!

Re: Rehearsal dilemma!
I would say that the 8:15 is fine. Just politely ask anyone who tends to run late to be punctual so that you could be at the dinner by 9! Try to pick a place as close to the church as possible. Everyone knows that when it comes to these things, sacrafices have to be made, so I don't think anyone will give a hard time about a later dinner. Plus, by then your closest and dearest will be so psyched for your wedding that they won't care!

My problem is all the restaurants in our budget close early since its a week night! would have to be out by 10-10:30. I will have to call around. I am catching flack about both times from BP members... Just dont knwo what to do

MANDATORY DONATION!!!! It's such a twisted concept!!!!
I agree with you.
I say make them open the church on Thursday. let them frown upon you. What can they do about it at that point?

Re: Rehearsal dilemma!
Do you have any out of town people that would need to be there? If not, what about doing it the week before, Thurs. or Fri. evening so that you can do it at the time you want. Just a suggestion... May even work out better by spreading everything out.
Oops, just read that fh's family are coming in from Fl.
