Rehearsal Dinner...?

Scott and I were thinking of having a sit down dinner for the RD. The problem is, what about the kids? There is no way they are going to sit for 4 hours. And I don't want to be embarrassed if they all start running around.
There will be children ranging from 10 years old to 5 months.

We were maybe going to have it at my parents' house, but in case of rain or really hot weather, my mom wouldn't be too happy with 30 people in the house. I don't know what to do.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner...?

Depending on the type of restaurant, children running around a little may not be a problem. Unless they are just running amok!
Maybe you can provide distractions for them like coloring books or small games?
If you wanted to go some place fancy, or more geared to adults, can you arrange for a sitter for a couple of hours?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner...?

Maybe you could all chip in for a babysitter or two?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner...?

If you are in a restaurant with a private room, there shouldn't be a problem with the kids.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner...?

I would go for the nice restaurant.

Kids run around everywhere and the people at the restaurant I am sure will understand....they really have no choice.

Go for whatever makes you happy!!!
