We are getting married at the reception hall and I want to have a rehearsal dinner however the officiant doesn't think he needs to be there but he said its up to me.
Can I have a rehearsal without him and have just the banquet manager walk us through the ceremony? What is everyone else doing thats getting married at the reception hall?
Anyone not having a rehearsal and just the dinner? Suggestions and thoughts please

I personally would rather have the officiant there that way everyone is on the same page

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I'm getting married at the reception hall, and our officiant said the same thing. I was nervous at first and then was like 'oh well'. He said that if it were in a church he could do things his way, but that at a reception hall that they have things done a 'certain way', so he'll just follow the lead of the captain that night. I wouldn't really worry. I'm just walking through were we will all stand and how it goes without him. He just needs to be directed on where to stand the night of. I wouldn't really worry too much about it! Good luck!
