I know this kind of early to think about, but when are you having your rehearsal dinner? A week before the wedding? The night before the wedding? What's the concensus?

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Being that we have some important people (like my dad) coming from OOT, we'll prob have it the night before. I don't want to have it too early!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Well, the wedding is on Sunday (daytime) so I would like to have it on Friday.... however, all of FH's family and friends are OOT so it will probably be Saturday.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We signed up for the rehearsal at the church the day we signed up for the ceremony! We will have it the night before the wedding.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I think we are just doing immediate family and bridal party, and if out of towners come in. No big deal at all.....maybe a bbq. We would do it the Friday night before our Sunday wedding.

Usually it's traditional to feed your oot guests in addition to the bridal party and immediate families the night before the wedding. But if it's not a tradition in your family, you won't offend anyone if you don't do it, right?

We're also getting married at the RH and we're doing it. One it's when we're gonna thank everyone for all their help and hand out their gifts (whatever they're gonna be). But it's also a time to figure who's gonna do what and exactly when. I want my BP to know what order they're gonna walk down in and that kinda stuff. Esp for my jr BM and FG who've never even been to a wedding b4, this way they'll have an idea of what to do and expect on the big day.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
My wedding's on a Friday night, and I plan to have the RD on the Wednesday night. That way, I know that the OOTers who are in the party will be in town (really just FI's family) - - and we can make it a more intimate party than if we had it on Thursday with all of the OOT guests in town already. Plus, I don't want to run around the night before - I want to relax with FI.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I'm debating on whether or not I'll have one. I may just have a small dinner (I'll cook) for my BM's the night before the wedding. They will all be with me at my mom's house.
As for the GM's they will be with my FI the night before so he can do something with them.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
i am getting married at my rh too and i dont think i am going to have a rd at all just bring the bridal party out or have them over the house(hopefully we will have one by that time) for a dinner party the weekend before. my wedding is on a friday night and everyone will be arriving the thursday night before so i dont think this is a need for us.

We are getting at married at the reception hall too. The actual 'rehearsal' is going to be about a half an hour before the ceremony. I will not attend this. So the dinner will be more of a 'pre-wedding' dinner rather than an actual rehearsal dinner.
