Thusrday or Friday what is the norm?? I think Friday is better because the men have to come out and try on there tuxedos anyway..and the girls can just stay the night if they wanted to. BUT fh wants to have the dinner and rehearsal on Thursday? And relax on Friday.......

my wedding is a friday adn my church will only do the rehersal on thursday.
there really is no norm, since some churches won't do it a week or even a few days before

Actually, our RD is a week before the wedding. It was supposed to be on a Thursday but it was a Holy Day so we needed to change it to Friday. Friday is a little harder I think in getting available rooms to book.

Wedding is on a Sat and the RD is on Thurs, we really didn't have much of a choice, that's how the church does it. I think it is better though, b/c it does give you Friday to do the last minute things and hopefully relax.

We're having a Saturday night wedding, but doing a Thursday rehearsal. Our entire BP (except for one BM) is coming from OOT, so everyone is pretty much taking Thursday off anyway. We figured that this way we could really have fun at the rehearsal and not have to worry about getting up early the following day.
It was actually my FMIL's idea...I'm so glad she thought of it because now everyone's really excited for the rehearsal 'party' (as we've been calling it).

RD on Thurs. and wedding on Sat. I didnt plan it like this, but I think Friday will be a nice relaxing day and we can all drink and party on Thurs and not worry about getting up early.
