Can the rehearsal dinner be for bridal party only, or do you have to include their spouses/dates? Who else do you have to invite? We just want something simple, a gesture to show appreciation for them, and don't want to bring in so many outsiders. Any suggestions?
people also invite out of town guest...we are having our rehearsal 2 days before, so the out of towners will not be here yet.

are any of the people in your bridal party from out of town? we were thinking of waiting to do the rehearsal dinner until the night before because some of the people in our bridal party wont be in town until the day before the wedding.
one of my cousins (BM) is out-of-town and may not be able to make it (she is a doctor and works the night shifts...so there is not much I can do about that)
FH's uncle (host) wanted it 2 nights before so no one is hung over for the wedding

I think you should include all significant others. Not necessary to include 'dates' but if they are dating for a signficant period or married, you should invite them.

Re: rehersal guest list
you should also include anyone who has a role in the ceremony (especially if you're actually having a rehersal).
These could be readers, those presenting gifts, etc.
Our rehersal dinner included the bridal party and their spouses/fiances, immediate family, readers & gift presenters and one or two guests from out of town.
We invited most of our out of town guests but few were going to be on LI the night before.
