Rehearsal dinner, is it tacky not to have one? FH and I had booked with another RH and then changed our minds and lost out on a lot of money. now we are short to have a rehearsal and both sides of our families have helped us out a lot. now we dont know what to do!! any ideas of something nice but inexpensive? any ideas would help!
The 1st RH we already lost the money so I wouldnt be able to have maybe applied that to a rehearsal dinner

Re: Rehearsal dinner
Ya have a dinner at someones house- it doesn't have to be fancy. The purpose of it is to actually rehearse and go over things for the next day. You could also make it different and have a cocktail party or like a dessert party or something. Just consider the time of evening when doing this.

How many ppl would u have? I would get the BP involved and have a pot luck at someones house. The BP can help recreate some of your and FH fav dishes!!!
or...
Take the attention away from the food... if you want..have fun with it, and do someting like pizza or just ordorves and games... my friends FD was like that and we were all having a blast!

Re: Rehearsal dinner
My friend went bowling instead of having an actual dinner--this way it was fun and relaxing and everyone could mingle and let loose a bit.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
You might want to try something at one of your houses. Or do a VERY small dinner for just the bridal party and parents. Try Italian food - it tends to be reasonably priced. And you can just offer non-alcoholic drinks. You could have a pre-selected menu and I would imagine you could do that for $25 per person or something.
