Rehearsal Dinner?

Rehearsal Dinner?

I'm finally doing my RD invites. We decided on going a lot less formal with this..
We are all heading over to a really nice sports bar after. They have plasma tvs... leather couches by a fire place..etc... and the food is great.
We didnt have the bar closed to the public since it'll start early and wont be busy yet...but they will reserve some tables in the back area. And i think the plan for food is to order a WHOLE BUNCH of appetizers (mini burgers, moz. sticks, wings, quesedillas, jalapeno poppers..etc.) and then if people want to order food (everything is bar food so its under $10 bucks except for the steak which is $19.. i love it..lol) .. we will pick up the tab.. and the first 2 rounds of drinks... we figure since its a bar..people will probably stay and hang out a lot longer.. so we don't wanna get stuck with a huge bar bill.. but the place is much more us...
anyway.. after this whole rant..lol..
how should i word my invites? I need ideas...

also .. did anyone do favors of any kind.. or anything special for the RD. i know we plan on handing out the BP gifts and wat not.. but i'm trying to think of a few other ideas...
TIA

Re: Rehearsal Dinner?

I had the hershey bar wrappers made. We are having a dinner and will leave on each place setting. I am not sure how you could do that at your place.

Maybe you could just get a basket if you wanted to do that.

The place you are describing sounds like .... McCann's in Massapequa????

Not sure about the invite -- I will think about it today for you

We used this on our invites:

'FH popped the question and Coleen said yes!
Now all the planning is over from the hall to the dress
Only one thing remains for this day to be great
Practice makes perfect - november 6th is the date!
We'll run through the ceremony and iron out all the kinks
Then its off to _____ for dinner and drinks!'

Then we put the time, place, etc.

You could just say something like 'then its off to ____for some munchies and drinks!'

The Place is Called Mullholand's in williamsburg... it's fairly new but we've been there a few times now and we really love the food and the atmosphere...
plus it's close enough to the church..and we can have our friends come meet us there for drinks all night...!!!
