I think we are doing Printer's Devil in Port Jeff. Haven't booked it yet, though.

knights of columbus lounge in oceanside.
closed party just for us.

we decided it was too late in the evening for a sit down dinner. our rehursal is at 7:45pm as it is. so the chef at the k of c is going to make some sandwiches up, and some hot and cold chafing dishes. I'm going to get a cake made for FH (groom's cake). I want to do it in the form of a soccer field. I have to find little plastic soccer players in white shirts (his team wears white) for the top of the cake.

oh some of those places you guys mentioned are so nice.....we cant afford that though, we are having like 40 people! We might do a chinese buffet! Its not expensive, and I need something casual and relaxed before the big day!

That's a great idea!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

I know that I shouldn't have any say in the matter but firstly, their house isn't huge. The FMIL is a big Martha Stewart type and just basically likes to entertain any given chance.
FIL's both smoke and don't go out to dinner ever because of the new law. What a way to live...
She is also having an after party for my shower HERE, the holidays are all HERE and FI and I live HERE (very helpful not having to pay rent and pay for our wedding). I basically can't catch a break from here. I know that I must look like I don't appreciate anything but even FI feels the same way- It's just a done deal..

Re: Rehearsal Dinner

who typically arranges the RD? For some reason I thought that it was my FH's family, but I think that I would kind of like to take care of it. Dave & Busters sounds like such an awesome idea. Even if we don't do it for the RD, that would be great to do afterwards to just chill out and stuff!
