Just wondering what everyone has been quoted for rehearsal dinner prices. We got a quote of $61/per person for a sit down dinner with open bar. My FILs think this is too much! We would only have 24 people at the dinner and this is the ONLY thing they are paying for. I don't think this is a bad price...what does everyone else think?

Re: Rehearsal dinner
Really? Well this is the 1st place we've looked at, but it is in a good location to our church in Sayville and hotel on Vets Hwy. I don't think we need an open bar, infact I'm ok with a cash bar but my FILs want an open bar. Any suggestions on places???

why don't you ask the place if they can offer you a package with maybe wine, beer and soft drinks. I guarantee its way less.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
We are paying about $55 per person for a cocktail party including open bar, passed hors deoveurs (sp?), dinner and dessert. So I guess your price is comparable! We are only having 30 people as well.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
We will most likely have out RD at the Blue Lagoon in Lindenhurst. The food is good there and dinner with an open bar is only $35pp.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
that price is higher then my engagement party was per person!! and I had open bar and a small dessert table!!
i really think you should keep looking around. and maybe go for beer, wine and soda instead of having the open bar. It is just a dinner, no need for open bar, in my opinion.

We had a birthday party for my mom there 2 years ago, and the food and service were awesome.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
2010 crasher - that is very high. If you want to stay in the East Islip area look at places on Main Street. Irish coffee pub is very yummy but very pricey.

Re: Rehearsal dinner
thanks for the suggestion! I guess I didn't realize how pricey it was until everyone else told me their quotes...and it probably doesn't help that I'm slightly bitter that they aren't paying for anything else.
