Rehearsal Dinner.....?

Hi Everyone!

I have been browsing the boards for a few months, but recently decided to start joining in on some of the chats. Just wanted to say 'hi!' and ask a question.

Our wedding is planned for May 24, 2012. (can't wait!) It's the Thursday before Memorial Day. Is anyone else having/ or been to a weekday wedding?

When are you having your rehearsal dinner? Can't decide if it's too much of an inconvenience to ask people to come out Wednesday night and Thursday night, but I'm also wondering if the weekend before is too far in advance (A few members of the bridal party are from out of state and won't be here that early!)

My wedding is on a Friday. We are going to do the rehearsal dinner on Thursday night. I know that since it is a week day not everyone will be able to get there but I think that is better for me then the weekend before since I have people who are OOT.

One thing I have realized with wedding planning is that you are never going to please everyone! I am just trying to piss off the least amount of people.

My wedding is a Saturday and we are doing the RD on Friday night. The BM is from Maryland and although he's willing to come early we thought it would be safer (since we are getting married in January) that we do it the night before.

I also asked all my girls thier preference since some had kids and one was traveling from Jersey and they all were open to any day before the wedding.

Don't sweat it and just pick what stresses you out the least!!

That was a great question! I keep contemplating this since my wedding is on a Thursday, but I'm lost! Maybe the night before the wedding?

Im getting married on a Sunday and my church only does rehearsals on Thursdays....SO i am also thinking about having it either the Thursday OR the night before....

I think i will most likely have it the Thursday after the rehearsal..!

My wedding will most likely be a Friday night and we'll either have the rehearsal the Thursday night before or the weekend before (Saturday).

One of FH's friends actually had their wedding on Thanksgiving Eve and aside from the traffic going out to LI, it worked out great!

hmm thats a good question!! I can ask my sister for you, as she is getting married the Thursday before Memorial day weekend THIS year!! I am pretty sure they are going to have the RD on the Wednesday the night before though...
