I want to just invite the bridal party and their mates. My FMIL wants to invite all the OOT guests. which would make it over 60people! I think that is way too much what are you guys doing? Will it be rude if I only invite the Bridal Party? Our guest our staying at the Fox Hollow.
Thanks ladies!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
I had OOT guests, but it was just my aunt/uncle from MD. I think if you have 60 people - BP only. Buuuuuttttt I would 'make up for it' by having a brunch at the hotel the day after the wedding.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Absolutely NOT inviting out of town guests. We are just going to be having bridal party, their significant others, our parents, and possibly the readers(but they are not definite).

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
Our RD was the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. We invited parents, BP w/ guests, readers w/ guests and anyone else who was involved at the actual church.
OOT guests were invited to the day after brunch that was held on Sunday.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We just had parents, BP (and spouses), readers (and spouses) and a couple of DH's aunts and uncles that he's close with. We didn't have any OOT guests, but then again, our rehearsal was a week before the wedding.
Technically the rehearsal dinner is only for the people involved in the ceremony. But nowadays, anything goes. I certainly don't think you need to 'make up' for anything though if you don't have them.
ETA: is your FMIL paying for the RD? If so, let her invite them. If not, it's your call.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
We will be inviting BP, immediate family, readers and any OOT's that are in the night before the wedding.
We don't have a lot of OOT's so it doesn't make a big difference... I just want to make sure we get to spend some extra time with OOTers.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
we did bridal party only. we also did it two nights before the wedding, because i did not want to deal with anything the night prior.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner
we are inviting BP, immediate family(aunts and uncles), OOT guests from Ireland. It's just the right thing to do since they are traveling such a great distance.
