I am on a tight budget (like everyone haha) and I need to plan my rehearsal dinner for approx. 20 people.
Any ideas of where I could go near Patchogue/Medford/Holbrook/Bayport/Bluepoint area???

Mamas in Holbrook or Oakdale (not Lombardis) Lombardis is good though, approx $30pp. You might be able to get a better deal at the other Mamas next door.
Try Snapper Inn (Oakdale)

Blue is great...we had my cousin's 35th birthday party there. My uncle, who lives in Bayport said 'it was the best filet mignon he has ever tasted!'

Re: rehearsal dinner?
Just noticed that the Lessings restaurants have great prices for parties! Check out their website and look at their list of restaurants. My daughter is having her reception at Bourne and I am hoping they will give us a good deal.

I think we're going to have ours at Painter's in Brookhaven. Reasonably priced and very different...which we love.

Re: rehearsal dinner?
It is funny, I was just think ing about this, I don't think I want to spend a lot on this since I have a huge BP.
Here is a few ideas:
When I went to three rehearsal dinners, all were really nice.. 1. Was at the Brides house inside b/c it rained, she had her family cook and we had a ball (about 30 people). 2. Was at the Bride & Groom's house (they just bought) they had pizza and beer and a game night (BM vs GM) just for the bridal party (about 1 week before the wedding b/c she was getting married at the hall & they felt practice was not needed), it was again a great time (about 20 people). 3. Was actually my sisters, she had it at a Chinese buffet that had a nice separate area, we came right after rehearsal and she had our whole family there (about 40 people). It came to like $500! All of these to me where inexpensive and all came out great. Just a thought if you are really on a tight budget and a restaurant is too much.
