Has anyone been to Tula Kitchen in Bay Shore? It's amazing. FH and I went for dinner this weekend, and I want to incorporate it into our planning somehow. I LOVE IT! I even spoke briefly with someone about it and they def do parties and catering. I am wondering if it's a pain for the rehearsal dinner to be 45 minutes away from the hotel and venue, eventhough I am having the dinner the night before the rehearsal? Should I look for a place closer to the hotels for the rehearsal dinner and just try to get my girls to have the shower at Tula Kitchen? I wish I could have both there! Any input would be SO helpful. :)

I love Tula! I would think the shower would be easier to have bc they can do a mid-day party there. They open for dinner at 5pm so I am unsure if you could actually have a RD there and close down the restaurant. They only seat maybe 50 people in total as it is.

I know, I was thinking to close the restaurant on a Friday would probably not work well either. It's such a great vibe there, I definately want to show it off to my guests! :)

I think it depends on who you are inviting to the shower. If you are inviting out of town guests it may be hard. If you are inviting only the bridal party (and they are not OOT) it should not be an issue

I LOVE it, but my FH hates it, because they don't have any red meat, and limited chicken dishes even. So if you have any meat and potatoes type people, just something to think about. But you could just say screw them and do it anyway!

Very true, that's why I am liking the shower idea since it will be all ladies, more & more!
