I dont think its weird at all. It is a bridal party rehearsal.
We are only having them bring a date if it is a long term relationship/engaged/married.
We are struggling with the same thing! We ultimately decided to do just those who are in long term/engaged relationships. We are also including aunts/uncles/cousins so total, we are looking at 56 people! Absurd...I get stressed just thinking of it.
I think its fine to do no dates, I am not inviting any aunts uncles or cousins, strictly bridal party, dates if they are in a serious relationship and parents thats it lol
I think it is appropriate to invite the bridal party with their long-term significant others, not just a date for the night or a new bf/gf.
wondering the same thing! the majority of ours are married!
we are inviting all BP with a date to RD. Considering it's the dinner, most single ones won't just grab a random date but we are letting it be their choice. I think if they are in a relationship that significant others should be invited. FH wasn't invited to one for a wedding I was in and I felt bad about it IMO
