I know this is bit early but my in laws have begun looking at restaurants they would like to host the rehearsal party at. They have thrown out a few ideas and I'm not too thrilled about them. Since they are paying for the party I feel like I cannot say anything. I don't like not having any say in what I want since this will be the only rehearsal dinner I have. I just want to choose a place I like and pictured having my dinner at.
What do you ladies think can I put my two sense in or will it bite me in the butt?
Ohh and FH wants me to go with their flow ughhh it's killing me!
Are you not thrilled because you don't like any of the food at the places they're mentioning or are these places just not what you pictured?
TBH, if they're paying for it and FH wants you to just go with it, then I would do exactly that. The rehearsal dinner isn't the part of your wedding that you're going to remember years from now if it's not exactly what you want.

Just not what I pictured. I know you are right I should definitely just leave it. :( I hate not having control drives me nuts! I always do things myself definitely one of my flaws. Guess I will bite my tongue. Thanks for the advice
I'm the same way. I love doing everything myself, so it's hard sometimes to let somebody else take over. But wherever it is, I'm sure you'll have a great time! Just don't worry about it

I have a similar issue going on.... except.... My family feels all out of town guests should be invited and FH's family feels that it is just for the immediate family and bridal party.... My mother offered to pay for it since we have a lot of family coming in from out of town, but FH's mother was offended.... it is just messy... so over all of this craziness. I cant wait to just be married. Realizing the wedding is for everyone else. If it were up to FH and I, we would go to town hall tomorrow to get married and be done with it.

My in laws booked & paid for our rehearsal dinner. The place they chose was good, but it wasn't where we originally wanted. They asked us for ideas & when I texted MIL, she told me they had already booked a place (p.s she asked me for ideas like 20 minutes before I sent them to her so obviously she didn't care what I said lol). It's just the rehearsal, don't even worry about it. Look at it this way, it's one less thing for you to worry & stress over.
