Rehearsal Dinner Dilemma

Do you think it's rude to not include the significant others of bridal party members and readers in the rehearsal dinner?

Just want to get some opinions

I personally am all about the +1, and would be a little upset if FH was invited somewhere where I wasn't.

Butttt I totally understand your position....EVERYTHING is so damn expensive! Oh, weddings

nope not at all... most of the RD we have been to have just been ppl in the BP.

We hosted a little get together afterwards where significant others were invited to but not the dinner. It costs enough as it is!

I had definitely planned on inviting everyone's SO's to the rehearsal dinner. Then, the other night, FH and I were talking about the guest list for the RD and he thought differently - just bridal party and officiant. I still don't know what we are going to do, but I know I want to invite SO's

our bridal party were all not from the L.I area so we invited their bf/gfs. didn't feel right about their sig other staying in the hotel without knowing the area kwim? but if everyone is local, i don't think it's a big deal not to invite their bf/gf. i can see some people being annoyed but they'll get over it

I would think it is rude to be invited without my spouse

Buuuuut, this was part of the reason that we had a small wedding with minimal wedding party

I dont think so. I only had the bridal party, readers and parents. I have had to stay home and wasnt offended it the rehearsal dinner not the wedding.

Not sure if I would think it's rude, but I would be upset if I was invited and my FH wasn't especially since ppl in your bp are close family and friends, not just some stranger guests you know? Personally I would do something more low-key like a BBQ or something to save enough money to be able to invites everyone's SOs.

HTH!

I think its always nice to invite plus one. I wouldn't like it if FH was invited to a rehearsal without me. But,are we talking about 10 extra people or just a couple? If its just a couple of people, I say just add them on. But, It's a lot more people, then I think everyone will understand if you don't... as it certainly adds up!!

I invited everyone with their significant others, and also invited the readers. I would be upset if I couldn't bring my fh
