I put rehearsal in quotes, because its really a pre-wedding dinner- the rehearsal is right before the ceremony. Anyway, I got this dress at J crew. Its really comfortable, and looks great, I just have to get the top taken in a little. The RD is at a casual italian restaurant. I didn't get white though, I am a slob and white with italian food just don't mix!! Besides, I am wearing white the next day! I got this color instead:

That's nice! How much was it? Did you buy it in store or online at J Crew?
Never mind - found it online. Can you buy this in store to be able to try it on? I was looking for something nice to wear to RD and to the HM as well.
Betsy- yes, I bought it in the store at the Smithhaven mall, but they didn't have many left. They said it was selling really fast.
Is the dress tight again the body or just tight at the top and then flows out over the waist and stomach area?
tight at the top only,. It really looks nice, but I am lacking in boobage so I have to get it taken in on top - like everyother dress I get. Its like they think everyone's bottom half is perfectly proportioned with their bottom half.

I have this dress- got it at the outlets last year for like $50- not sure why it was there, but I love it!
here's me at my sis's shower last year:
oh yea, look at that! do you think its EXACTLY the same, or they modified it somehow? Love the outlets! ETA: it looked great on you!

I like this one but the RD is supposed to be in a back yard so i might have to go with something a bit more casual.
Do you ladies think its to dressy?
no, I think its very 'beachy' looking. So is the Jcrew one, its cotton, not dressy at all.

Aw, thanks. I don't know if it was the same as the ones in the stores. I'm thinking the batch had a stitch off or something and it wound up at the outlets, but I can't see anything off about it.
The top of it does run big- had to wear a padded to pull it off, hehe.

I have that dress too but in navy blue. It's so cute! I got it for our HM. I want to wear it to the rehearsal dinner but I think it'll probably be too chilly (and I'm always cold) we'll see.... in the meantime I'm on the hunt!
