Rehearsal Dinner ettiq?

Hey ladies, so our RH is not allowing us to have a rehearsal which should be interesting the day of... BUT my question is..... Is it proper to still have a rehearsal dinner or is it wrong to cancel the rehearsal dinner?

Its a large expense and if it is bad etiq to cancel it then we will have ti BUT if it is not bad eqtiq then Im ok with saving the money lol

Can you practice it somewhere else like a backyard with the person doing the ceremony?

When my sister got married they didnt get to have a rehearsal either...we had NO rehearsal dinner. If there is no rehearsal I dont think its necessary to have a dinner...

HA! I didn't even look at your date! lol I don't think you have to have a rehearsal or a dinner. You can give the BP their gifts the day of your wedding while you're getting ready.

Just do a diagram of the of where the bridal party will stand and let everyone know order of processional and it shd wrk out fine.

As for a dinner maybe you can just have a little thing (dinner) at your house and let everyone know of the plan then

We also had a quick run through the day of but we had a rehearsal dinner. It was there we gave out the bridesmaids and grooomsmen gifts.

we have the exact same situation....

our hall won't do a rehearsal on the weekend (we're being married on a sunday) - but we're still having a dinner.

Our pastor will give us a binder & i'll walk everyone through a 'mock rehearsal'...

If you're not having an actual rehersal, i think don't think you need to have a dinner. What is the use of a rehersal dinner without a rehersal?? I think you can skip it!

You can definitely skip the dinner if you're not having a rehearsal. Or do it in a less expensive way...like make the food and have it at your home. HTH

same thing here, we have a lot of OOTers so we will have a barbeque at our house the day before. Obviously, that won't work for you. If you really feel the need to do something, why not do coffee and desserts at home the day before. But, honestly, most people won't miss it.

I would love to do something small like that BUUUTTTT unfortunately my apt is small and then when you add a BIG dog it becomes smaller lol...

I think we will do the dinner and just invite the bridal party and people in the party that have out of town dates... this way everyone can get acquainted. :)
