Try the Brookville Country Club. You don't have to be a member. My bridal shower was there and everything was AMAZING...Especially the food.
That's the Jericho Exit. It takes you right to Jericho Turnpike. There's a bunch of restaurants on Jericho Turnpike, it just depends on how far you want to go. Brindisi is right off exit 40, it's very good. Maine Maid Inn isn't too far, and neither is Milleridge Inn. There's also a good steakhouse, I think it's called Frank's Steaks.
Now that I see you are having it at Post, there's a lot of good restaurants in Glen Cove, Page One, Cole House, La Pace, La Bussola are just a few of the really good ones.
I was thinking of having my rehearsal dinner at the Maine Maid Inn...it is sooooo nice there and the food is awesome. However, we thought it was a little pricey for a rehearsal dinner...the price we were quoted did not include liquor.
