Rehearsal Dinner HELP!!!

Rehearsal Dinner HELP!!!

I have a bunch of questions (sorry)

First how long do rehearsals at the hall actually last and what time would it normally take place (I’ve contacted my BM he hasn’t replied yet) Mine would have to be the day before the wedding- a Saturday and I am worried that there will be weddings going on during the morning or early afternoon.

did you choose a restaurant that is fairly close to your rehearsal location and were you given a private room at the RD?

I cant find any semi cheap restaurant near Woodbury Country Club. I really want an Italian restaurant where I can get full trays of food that can feed between 8 + per tray. Or I am okay with everyone ordering off the menu but with us getting a semi private or private room.

I called Buteras (among many others)- but they don’t do that, they have a pre fixe which I really don’t want.

If you have suggestions please help.
The only place that said I can get a private room was Umbertos and everyone would order off the menu. However they are a good 20 minutes or more from Woodbury CC.

We aren't getting married at a hall...we switched to a Church. However, when we were getting married at the hall, it would've been on a weeknight for like a half hour or so.

I would wait for the BM to get back to you... if your wedding is a Sunday then you may not be able to get in on Saturday, or maybe even friday if there is another wedding. Maybe if you have it another day the rehearsal dinner places you wanted will be open.

I think thats a problem a lot of girls have with getting married at the hall, sometimes you need to do your rehearsal on a weekday...

ETA for spelling

ye i talked to a different BM and she said no sat or friday and she MAY be able to allow me to do it monday (***) anyways i cnt do it on any other day but Saturday which sucks.

My schedule is so bad because I will have Bar exam classes through out the week so I dont want to be bothered with planning this too during bar prep, soooo I may do a dinner with no rehearsal. lol is that normal??

Well it depends on why you want to have the dinner.. to acquaint the families? If thats it, then yeah thats fine, just make sure every person involved truly knows what they're doing. Are you unavailable all day? I'm looking at doing the rehearsal early in the day and then havign the family do lunch and then wine tasting out east, that way we're all in bed early for a LONG day

My friend had a 'thank you' dinner the week before her wedding - she got married at a Temple so not sure how that works maybe they don't do rehearsals? I'm getting married at my hall also and plan on doing a dinner with the bridal party and immediate family to give them their gifts and have a nice dinner all together before the big day.
