Rehearsal Dinner help needed!

I am looking for an INEXPENSIVE (no more than $30 per person), casual place with a nice atmosphere and good food (I have a big Italian family and food quality and quantity is very important to them!) for a June rehearsal dinner. Outdoors would be nice too. Anyone have any suggestions of any such place in Nassau County?? Thanks in advance!

Great Place

I have a great place, they have amazing food and it is informal......It's called Porto Fino, on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown, my fiance and I had our engagement party there and we both have huge families so it was perfect and his family keeps having family parties there. My family is Irish and his is Italian and my family still talks about how much food was served, were not used to huge Italian meals like is family is and this place has two rooms in the back that you can close off to have a private party. At the end of the party Jack the owner invited all of the children to the front for ices and didn't even charge us, he is sooooo nice I really liked it there but the food speaks for itself. If you choose not to have the rehearsal there its a great resterant for a date.

Rehearsal Dinner help needed!

If your family is like my family they will love Dick and Dora on Alahambra Road in Mass. Food mouth watering, drinks thirst quenching and service refreshing. I paid $17 PP for a party. Hey, take a look.

Rehearsal Dinner help needed!

I had my rehearsal dinner at La Toscana in Glen Cove. I wouldn't say it is casaul, but it's not like guys needs jackets or anything. The amount of food and the quality was amazing. And the owner, I can't remember his name, was very accomodating. My and my husband's families are Italian, so the food was very important to us. You would be up at $30 per person. Another place I went to for a birthday party is called Classico on Northern Blvd. in Roslyn Estates (516-621-1870). I have no idea how much it would cost, but I was VERY impressed with the amount and the quality of the food. On another note, I went to La Viola in Cedarhurst for a party recently, and although I always thought their food was good, I was not that impressed with the quality. The amount was not a problem, but the quality was just not there. Hope this helps.
