I'm looking for a restaurant that has a private room and can accomodate about 50 people. I've already looked into the GW Manor but the price is a bit more than my FILs can pay. TIA.

Buonogustos in Roslyn they have a private room and the food is really good--italian. Not sure how many the room holds but we are having about 30-35 people

Not sure if Great Neck is too far (about 15 min) but there is a great Italian place with a private room called Vespa.

I had my rehearsal at the Jolly Fisherman on Roslyn Road. They have great food and a room over looking the duck pond.....

The Jolly Fisherman is great!
In Seacliff is Tupelo. It may be a little pricey but the food is very good.

I was just going to post- but then realized we are getting married the same day and our RDs would be the same night... Anyway, I booked at Dianes in Roslyn..
I think Mims also has private rooms-- on Roslyn Rd- they have a web site.

A lot of people love it (I am not sure if they have private rooms or not) I personally don't like when portions are HUGE and I don't think the food is anything to write home about. It's a fun place and pretty reasonable, I just don't really like it.

How about the George Washington Manor?? They have a smaller room I believe. Also there is an Italian Restraunt Near the Roslyn post office (if you make a left past it and then the following right) I cannot remember the name for the life of me, but they have a private room and great food. When I worked in Port Washington we always went there for lunch!!

MY FIL's eat Jolly like it's the diner...the place is old school, but the food is consistent, serve always good and the lobsters are yummy...
They have seperate rooms - you could try there...right in Roslyn...
Mim's used to good - IMO it's not as good as it was...
