Rehearsal Dinner Invites??

Rehearsal Dinner Invites??

Hey girls! I have some questions about this:

1. Are they necessary?
2. Where do you get them if you want them printed up? Is vista print a good idea, or is that only if you are adding a photo?
3. We only need like 15 invitations? Should we just get walmart invites? LOL! We are totally lost when it comes to this so any advice or info you may have would be SUPER helpful! Thanks!

I was thinking about this too... I think I am going to try AC Moore or Michaels. I know they have nice DIY invitation kits. Some kits have 25 invites and response cards. So what I was going to do is make up the invitation giving the rehearsal information and then on what would be the response card, put the dinner info. Or, all info on the main invite and then directions to the church / restaurant on the smaller card.

Or... I might just buy cardstock and DIY everything since it's such a few amount. HTH.

Formal invitations are not needed..... If you want to then do it! For my MOHs RD she didnt do invites and it was fine.... Actually I dont think I've ever actually recieved a formal invite.

I would use Vista - since they usually have 10 invites free - this is probably your cheapest bet. I ordered my e-party invites from them and they quality was very good. HTH.

I'm doing them, and am ordering from vistaprint, because they are supercheap. I DON'T think you have to, but I liked them and they're cheap, and since my FMIL is paying, I thought I'd spring for the invites so she knows it's not just a 'minor' part of the wedding.

We are just going to be crafty and DIY ours.. we did my MOH's and put a cute phrase like...

'Practice makes perfect, so we are rehearsing!'

DIY invites are good if you want to send something out......

I rcvd an invitation for my friends RD and she did it herself. She just used the extra cardstock from making the petal cones for the bridal party. It was cute but I dont think its really that necessary

You can always go to a store and hand write them out, that is what FBIL did. Or my friend made her own with the scraps from the paper from her wedding invites.

You can do them if you'd like, but I've never received an invite for any of the rehearsal dinners I've been to - even the big ones.

Im doing them because we decided to invite the OOTers as well. Since they are in for my wedding with no place to go. So we got the smaller room at Villa Umberto's & we will be about 45 people. I think because of this situaion its nicer to receive an invitation for this as well. But im just going to get nice card stock at Michaels & make them myself.

If its just teh BP i dont think it necessary but you can ifyou want.

I dont think a formal invite is necessary. I am going to just make them myself. Everyone who is in the wedding knows they are going to have to be there...so I figure it's going to be more of a reminder and exact day and time to let them know...

Thanks for all the advice girls! I am thinking of maybe doing an evite! I think since it is just the BP and our parents and the pastor and his wife and our readers, then they all already know they are going to have to be there! So maybe a cute lil evite will do the trick! Thanks loves!
