Rehearsal Dinner Invites - Where did you get them?
Edited with the decision to send invites.
I want to get invites so there is no miscommunication.
Where can I get invites online? Any good websites I can check out? I want something casual, I think.

My FHs dad bought invites but we both thought that was silly. He hasn't sent them out.

I would send them out. I heard about a RD through word of mouth, but I didn't understand if that meant I was invited or not--sometimes it's just for family or BP. So, just to clear up any possible confusion, I would send them out. Hope this helps!

I have seen it done both ways - with invitations and word of mouth. I am not sure how we will do it yet. My sister did word of mouth and everyone kept calling for times and directions so that is why I might want to do invitations. I think you should let the BP bring guests though.

I would like to get an invitation.. just so everyone knows the exact details.. sometimes word of mouth can get messed up

We are going to do invites. Our BP is not big, but we have a number of out of towners and don't want to assume that they will be able to make it.
I saw the cutest invitations at Papyrus in Roos. Field yesterday. Paperstyle.com also has nice ones.

in a way i agree with the invites for bridal shower how there silly but in a way in some familes its better to send them out because people will be showing up that shouldnt be and it should be an invite party only.

I got invites that I print myself at Joanne's. You can also find some at staples or other office stores. You can get some pretty 8x11 paper at the craft stores and print them out. Try www.verseit.com for sayings. I don't think I ever got a written invite to a RD.

In the last 3 weeks their has been some miscommunication, so I want everything written down in black and white.

we sent out invitations about a month in advance for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. i thought it was safer than word of mouth because something ALWAYS goes wrong when you assume people will know where to be and when. as far as the actual invitations, my husband actually made them, so i can't help you with that...
