rehearsal dinner location

There's a restaurant on Hempstead Trnpk in East Meadow. I think its called La Grappa. I know they have a lot of small parties there. It's Italian style food and very good. You should drive by it the next time you go to the Carltun b/c it's very close and has a nice appearance. The neon sign has a martini glass.

Then there is Fabios a little further down- also Italian & very good.
Depending on what you feel like eating, there's a 'pub-like' place which people say is very good also called Potter's Pub.

You should drive up & down Hempstead Trpk or even Old Country Rd there's so many places on either end of Eisenhower Park.

Try looking at the City cafe on Stewart Ave. in Garden city. If you leave Eisenhower Park by the Stewart Ave. exit, it is not too far from the park, on the right hand side of the road - near the Wingate Inn. i haven't been there in years, but it is a nice place.

I've heard the 7th St. Cafe in Garden City is very good. We looked at it for our rehearsal dinner, but we found a cheaper place where we had been before and loved the food.

What about Runyon's on Hempstead Tpke.? I haven't eaten there in a few years, but I remember the food being very good and the inside being nice. Might be worth checking out for dinner.

ETA: I also think I remember them having private little rooms for larger parties.
