rehearsal dinner location

rehearsal dinner location

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of any restaurants in the Huntington or Farmingdale area that would be good for a rehearsal dinner (about 30 people). We haven't found any place that we really liked. We are also running into some problems because our rehearsal dinner will be on the 4th of July and some restaurants are closed. :(
Any suggestions?

Stacey, happy you posted this. Debi and Fred plan to look for RD venue over Christmas. I'm not sure about what area, but I know the hotel that's booked is in Farmingdale. Mary MOB

I love Wickers in Hicksville. They have a room upstairs and a separate room downstairs that can hold probably about 100 people. The food and service are great. I go there all the time.

We had considered the BBQ idea, but we don't live on LI anymore so we don't have a yard. Plus, I don't want to use my dad's house, because we will be getting ready there and taking pics in the morning so we can't make a mess. Any other restaurant ideas?

I love the bbq idea if you have someone willing to host (and also end the party at a certain time if it is the night before your big day, lol!!!!). But...we had ours at Palmers in Farmingdal and loved it. the food is great there. we had 30 people and we had the whole room to ourselves (alothough they did say that they couldn;t guarantee tht if it got very crowded). Good luck!

Hey Stace! My brother may have some connections to places in the village (he is practically the mayor down there LMAO) so I will ask him and get back to ya!!

Here's a few ideas:

-Tutto Pazzo in the Village
-Off The Wall in the Village
-

Here's a message board where u can post/ view info for RD's or showers.

If you had an outdoor BBQ on the 4th at your dad's, it probably wouldn't cause too much of a mess. U could use all paper products. If I had a house to host ours in, we definitely would----also because it's cheaper.

I think u really are going to have trouble finding a place that's open on the 4th. Would you consider having it on the 3rd?

You should try the 56th Fighter Group in Farmingdale. I work there during the summers and they have pretty good package deals and they are open on 4th of July.

Meehans in Huntington has room to accomodate that many people as does Mangiamo.

I would consider doing it on the 2nd or 3rd instead. Not only will you have trouble finding a place open on the 4th, but also, most people would much rather be at the pool or a 4th of July party or seeing fireworks that day -- so your guests arent going to be too thrilled to be at a RD
