We would love something fun like laser tag or bowling but heard terrible things about the surrounding areas...dinner is fine I guess but in any case we need help!
there is a bowling alle on 110 in melville, not far from deer park. Laser tag? is sports plus still around? that was in lake grove.
I am not sure what surrounding areas you were suggesting, but deer park is a great area... don't forget that the heartland mini golf course is right there too. You could have your dinner at bella verde or papa joe's!!!
Don Ricardos has a really cute private room on the second floor. I went to a shower there and it was great! Served margaritas and sangria and some great food! Laid back and lots of fun!
There are parts of Deer Park that are really nice and then parts that are a little run down and shady. ..but now that they have opened the OUTLETS in Deer Park, the area will probably get better. I can't think of any places to eat in Deer Park, though.
How about karaoke somewhere? That could be fun! Ice skating at Dix Hills Skating Rink? There is a place called Laser Kingdom in Farmingdale that offers Laser Tag. There is a Jillians in Farmingdale that has a bar, club, pool, bowing, and video games. A comedy club?
Not sure if you would consider this a surrounding area but we had our RH at Cafe Gio's in West Islip/North Babylon...great Italian food and very reasonable!! It's on the westbound side of Sunrise Highway on the service road in the Waldbaum's shopping center. If you check it out speak to Sal the owner! GL
There are a bunch of places to eat around deer park- there is Meson ole if you want mexican, there is Ciao baby's in commack- great food family style and cheap, The Red Dish- more expensive but a great martini bar. And I second the idea of Dave and Busters or Jillians- Jillians has a japanese steak house inside it- where they cook in front of you, totally fun.
