Rehearsal Dinner near Glen Cove--suggestions???
We are looking for a place for a rehearsal dinner that is not too far from the Harrison House in Glen Cove. We expect about 50 people, mostly out of town guests, and are looking for something informal, like a barbeque or a buffet, rather than a sit-down dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Rehearsal Dinner near Glen Cove--suggestions???
i called the gail at the harrison house and she faxed me a list of nearby places. you might want to try that. there's also the option of having it at the harrison house, but i think it's more money than it's worth! let me know what you decide on. FH's parents have been bugging me for the very same info ;)

Informal locations in Glen Cove/ Locust Valley
There are so many places near by. I just had my shower in Locust Valley (5 min away from Harrison House) at the Locust Valley Inn and that was very nice. We had a private room with a fireplace, the food was very good and there were 54 people there and plenty of room,. We will probably have our rehearsal dinner there as well. You might also want to try Cafe Randazzo, in GC they have awesome food. Some other places there are, The Tiffany House (on golf course), Marras, Eva's Lantern (awesome chinese food w/ private party room), Basil Leaf Cafe. These are all in Glen Cove, except The Basil Leaf is in Locust Valley, they are informal, have good ambiance, and good food. The Tiffany House just changed owners so I haven't tried there food yet but its a nice place. Also all of these places are reasonble in price. Good luck I hope this helps

Also Coles House & Basil Leaf
I looked at both The Coles House & Basil Leaf for another party, and they were both really nice. Coles House is in Glen Cove - it`s a newly renovated historic home with beautifully decorated rooms, each with a different theme. The prices weren`t too bad, and I hear the food is good too. The Basil Leaf that Christine mentioned is in LV, and nice too. The man we met with was really sweet and helpful. I`ve heard great things about this place too. Hope this helps!

Coles House
Hey I forgot about The Coles house. I am going to look there too. I heard the food was good, but I heard it was very expensive, but I will check anyway

Cost of Coles House
I think it is expensive, but then again, I haven`t really looked around yet. I was quoted a lunch price of $32-33 pp. I'm sure dinner is higher. I guess that is on the high side, but I`ve heard George Washington Manor and a few others around there are roughly the same price.Welcome New Vendors
