I'm pretty sure the brunch would be cheaper. If you have a lot of OOT guests I would do the rehearsal dinner to welcome them to town. If not, I would do the brunch.

I vote RD! Its a good chance for the families and BP to let off a little steam, and kickstart the festivities. Honestly i've been required to attend a few day-after breakfasts/lunches/brunches and everyone was SO tired [and/or hungover] its just PAINFUL.... We're inviting anyone who stays at the hotel for a LATE (like 2pm) brunch, but they're COMPLETELY free to skip it if they're toast!!!
