I don't know why we are having such a problem with this but anyway... Have any of you ladies ever eaten at Mario Restaurant in Hauppauge? Or the Riverview in Oakdale? these are 2 of my choices right now unless anyone else can come up with some good places (not a pub or asian food) with a private room not far fromOakdale... price isn't really an issue, FMIL is paying : )

We almost chose the Riverview for our wedding (it was my 2nd choice). I've heard great things about it!

Here are some suggestions people gave me Collins & Main in Sayville As Time Goes By in Brightwaters (i think?) Brickhouse Brewery in Patchogue (this is where I think im having mine)

Collins and Main doesn't have a private room and we are having like 47 f'ing people... As Time Goes By didn't get such a hot review in Zagat, that is kind of like my bible... I will check Brickhouse out... thank u.

I love the Riverview resteraunt!!! My family goes there alot. The Irish Coffee pub in Islip is nice too.. we're having my engagment party there.

Hey, I've eaten at both and both have great food. I believe Mario's has a separate room, although I haven't seen it. We go to the Riverview all the time and we go to a Christmas party there that they have in a separate room. I think it could fit 20-30 comfortably--depends on the table set up.
