Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

What's the average price everyone is paying per person at the rehearsal dinner?
I was just quoted $27.00 pp-which didn't included alcohol, just soda. This price includes a fresh fruit medley, salad, choice of 3 entrees, dessert, coffe/tea, and soda.
Is this a reasonable price?? Any feedback would be appreciated!!

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

My RD is in midtown where of course everthing is outrageously expensive. We called quite a few places to find out that most wanted at least $60/person for basic apps and entree (no liquor or dessert included!!).

So we decided on Carmines. We didn't originally want to go there b/c one of our groomsmen works there but it was the only option that made sense. The food is yummy.

Appetizers, Pastas, Entrees, Beer/Soda, Dessert is $50/person.

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

We are getting what you said food wise with unlimited beer, wine, and soda for I believe $26 a person. That was the most reasonable I had found. I thought it was outrageous that at least soda wasn't even included in some places and that the pitcher of soda was $7!!! Crazy.

This is Harper's Restaurtant in New Hyde Park--it's got a really great atomosphere. Not too casual, not too fancy!

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

This is pretty nutty.. but we're actually having a 'make your own pizza' rehearsal dinner at Pizzaria Uno's in the seaport. I just wanted to do something fun and different. They laughed at us when we booked it because they've only had those parties for kids!! Anyway, we're paying al la carte but it will probably run around $20 (max) per person with everything. Good luck!!!

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

wow - NYC IS expensive! That's what some pay for a wedding! LOL

My RD is at Buongusto's in Roslyn - we're paying $29 pp, which includes appetizer, salad, dinner, desert and wine. We'll still have an open bar, but will pay the tab at the end of the night.

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

Mine will most likely be at Greenfileds in Flushing (where FI and I had first date ). It is a Brazilian style BBQ and it's probably $25 per person not including drinks, tax and tip.

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

I'm paying $22.95 p.p. (no tax cause we're paying by cash!) and that includes soup, salad, sit-down dinner, coffee, tea, beer, wine, soda and cookies for 4 hours! We're having the dinner at Whoville in Bethpage, it's a restaurant/bar with a big room to rent. Their prices (obviously) are very competitive and the food is great. Good luck!

Re: Rehearsal dinner poll- $$$

I am having our RD at La Familigia in Smithtown. It is family style so there is not a per person price, but rather a per dish price. We are going to serve 5-6 appetizers, salad, 2 pastas, 3 entrees plus I am getting a Groom's Cake for dessert. We will have wine on the tables and pitchers of soda. We will also pay for any other drinks people want. It comes to about $700 (not including hard liquor) for 33 people.
