How far in advance do you book it? Ours will be on a Thursday night...

Re: Rehearsal dinner question
Ours if on a Friday night the week before. I just booked it with the church last week, and FMIL is actively researching places and menus. I wouldnt be suprised if she has it booked within the next week or so. I think you are pretty safe with it being a thursday night and not on the weekend, but I would start to look now.

Re: Rehearsal dinner question
We booked ours way early just because my FILs were only going to be in town once before the wedding so we booked in October for July (Friday night). I think two-three months prior is plenty of time (or even less for a Thurs).

Re: Rehearsal dinner question
We'll most likely be booking ours within the month, after the precana. It'll be taking place the week after Thanksgiving, so I figure I'm OK.

I booked mine about 9 months before. I wanted to make sure we got the place and it was something to cross off my list.

Re: Rehearsal dinner question
I booked mine last weekend, but I hadn't planned to. I was at my parents' house in long island for the weekend and I walked past a place where I'll be attending a bridal shower in a few weeks, so I popped my head in to check it out - liked it - liked the price - booked it that day.
you have plenty of time.

I think a month before is fine but earlier is always better.

Thanks girls... I will probably do it soon just to get it done. We are pretty sure we know where we're having it anyway

That's exactly what I am doing, I have to go to the restaurant next week while on vacation to price it.

Re: Rehearsal dinner question
Uhh I am getting married in three months and we still haven't booked it yet because FILs put it in our laps, but that is another story. If I had it my way it would have been booked in Jan when I wanted to.
