rehearsal dinner question......

What is everyone doing for their rehearsal dinner??? We have a really large bridal party....with just bp and parents/grandparents we are looking at like 30 people.....with bfs and gfs its over 60 people.....i think thats a little ridiculous for a rehearsal dinner don't you think???

is it tacky if we just ask bp without guests???

Re: rehearsal dinner question......

we are having it in the back room of a pizza place which is def inexpensive! we will have 40ppl at ours

its $20 pp which includes pasta, salad, dinner from a choice of 4 like chicken parm, and dessert (i think a canoli) and soda and coffee or tea...

Im sure your local pizza place may have a something similar!

We are going back to my parents house and have ziti, salad and probably a cake. I am spending enough for the wedding I didnt feel the need to actually pay for a RH dinner. After the dinner me and the girls and FH and his guys are going to our own hotels for the night.

Why not have a BBQ? Dogs in buns aren't so expensive`

Since we have a large wedding party as well we've decided to do a cocktail party at The Post Office Cafe in Babylon Village. For choice of five hors d'oeuvres, house wine, and draught beer we're paying $25++. Not cheap, but definitely more affordable than some other options.

Ok so im really honest and might offend people, but I would be offended as a significant other not being invited. If you can't afford it so be it, but most people would be offended.

Try and do something where you can include guests of BP.

We have a similar situation with atleast 60 people will be on the guest list.

We are going to donovans in bayside, its 30 pp for 3 course sit down dinner, beer wine and soda

they rent the whole back room to you.

At first my FH and I had problems with it, he felt it was not necessary since we are not having a rehearsal but I think its a nice way to thank the wedding party for all of their hard work.

Does all of your BP have a spouse or significant other? Most of our BP is single (no BF/GF) so they are being invited alone to the RD. But the 3 who are married or in a relationship we are inviting both of them.

We are inviting immediate family and only BP and people doing readings at the Church. If we add dates for everyone we are going to be up another 15 people.

Re: rehearsal dinner question......

We are inviting BP + S.O. I don't know if I would be offended I might find it strange but everyone has different budgets. I would probably try to keep it on the cheap and be able to invite their SO

Doing it in my backyard and getting it catered. Some beer and wine and we are good to go!
