I'm not there yet, but it's normally just the close family and Bridal Party. But of course everyone has there own opinion. Depending on the size of your family you may just want to do Parents, Siblings and Bridal Party.

Good Luck.

We are only doing BP, parents, siblings...

Re: Rehearsal dinner question

we had 45 i think

it was parents, grandparents, siblings, bridal party and significant others and also cousins that lived in the area

ETA: we had our RD a whole week before our wedding so we wouldnt have to deal with the OOT guests. the only OOT guest that was there already was DH's grandmother. oh and we also invited our readers and their spouses.

our list looks like it is going to be near 50. this is with parents, BP and their significant others (all sibs are in the BP)OOT, and close fam.

Re: Rehearsal dinner guests

Our list is larger than we'd like too. We've actually eliminated OOT because that makes up 75% of our guests. FH has a family the size of a large tribe! We're doing parents, grandparents, bridal party, and a few hand-selected others (i.e. godparents, people staying at my parents house the night before the wedding).

There are plenty of articles on the web about tips for a rehearsal dinner including planning a rehearsal dinner and 5 steps to a great rehearsal dinner.

Hope it helps!

thanks!! The big chunk of people is oot guests but we are thinking of doing the rd in the hotel were we got a room block so it would awkward if people see the dinner that they werent invited to!

We're only including the wedding party and their spouses/so's.

Re: Rehearsal dinner question

We had about 30 at ours. We invited those in the BP and their significant others, and immediate family...along with those that came in from OOT and were staying at the hotel

Re: Rehearsal dinner question

i always thought it was just the bridal party (if they are young, their family) and close friends and family...usually no more than 30 to 50 people I would think
