Rehearsal dinner question

Rehearsal dinner question

Forgive me if this sounds dumb, but we are getting married at our venue in August. As far as I know as of now, we won't have access to it to practice or rehearse the ceremony. Every wedding I've been in has been in a church, so we had the rehearsal and then went to dinner. Should I still have a rehearsal dinner considering were not rehearsing?? What are brides who are getting married at your venue doing? Thanks.

We're gonna do the rehearsal in my backyard (we'll rope off a faux aisle) and then head out to dinner! I wasn't gonna give up a rehearsal dinner

I've been to two weddings that have gotten married at their venue & they had a rehersal dinner. It's totally up to you. You don't have to do one

I figured we would do a rehearsal at the venue and than do dinner. I never thought about access; good question. Did you check with BYC?

This is a good one, it never came across my mind.

I didn't check with them... I have to go there this weekend to drop off a payment so I'm gonna ask. Just figured I'd see what you ladies thought. Having a 'mock' one is a good idea though. Thanks

We are getting married at our venue. I simply called them and asked what the normal procedure was. Our BM indicated that typically people settle on a rehearsal date/time about 3 months out since the venue knows their availability better at that time.

We plan to have our rehearsal during the day the Friday prior and do a rehearsal lunch for the bridal party, parents and our pastor.

We're having a non-rehearsal dinner the night before! We also can't get in to rehearse except for 30 minutes before the ceremony (which seems a bit silly, at that point) but we want to get together with close friends and family before the big event. So I guess we'll be 'rehearsing' being the center of attention at a big gathering... which is not always my comfort zone! ;)
