My wedding party is my FH, his best man, my brother who is marrying us, my sister/MOH and me...
We're getting married at the catering hall our reception is at...
Do we have to have a rehearsal dinner? Should we just take the 3 out for dinner?
How does this go?
TIA

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Question...
I'm in the same situation as you, I don't know what is considered the right thing to do, but that is pretty much what we were planning on doing, with possibly adding my parents and his mother. Don't know if that helps you any

Rehearsal Dinner Question...
I think significant others should definitely get invited, especially if they're married.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Question...
It all depends on your choice. I'd probably do a 'run though' at the very least with your brother.
I'm in a very similar situation, getting married at our venue as well and they suggest and even recommend doing a rehearsal. However my mom works elsewhere as a maitre'd and has never heard of a catering hall rehearsal. I also have a few surprises that I don't want our parents in on prior so am leaning towards not having a rehearsal.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Question...
And yes SI must be invited to the rehearsal dinner. Not their children, unless you choose to and they're invited to the wedding. And parents of any flower girls, ring bearers or junior attendants are to be invited. As well as anyone else doing a reading during your ceremony.

Rehearsal Dinner Question...
We are doing a rehearsal dinner but not an actual rehearsal. We are inviting close family and the bridal party, along with out of town family. There is no right or wrong. My brother didn't have one and it was no big deal

This! And we're only inviting significant others of the bridal party if they're married.
