Rehearsal Dinner questions (2)...

2 questions:

1) Do you put an RSVP date on the Rehearsal Dinner invitation?

2) When do you send them out?

TIA

1) I've seen people put a 'regrets only' date and then I've also seen people put the RSVP date...both along with telephone numbers. Some people have had response cards. It's basically up to you.

2) I've received mine between 3-4 weeks prior to the dinner.

HTH!

We are sending a card similar to the wedding response card, and we are giving an rsvp date as 10 days before the rehersal. I think that my FIL's need to give the resturant a count one week before.

I put an RSVP on becuase we had a lot of people in addition to the bridal party coming and we needed a head count and I sent them our one month prior to the rehearsal dinner.

I think your answer kind of depends on how formal and how many people you are inviting to the RD. We're having a small pizza and dessert party at our house and are only inviting the bridal party and dates (most of them are single) and our parents. I don't think I'm going to send 'invitations' at all. Right now I'm planning on sending everyone hand written notes asking them to come over for a pizza so FH and I can relax with our closest friends before the wedding and show them how much we appreciate their help throughout the wedding planning.

Since our RD was informal and we only invited the bridal party, their dates and immediate family, I put 'regrets only.' If you are having a large RD I'd put an RSVP date.
