My Favorite restaurant in the Area is Nick and Maggie's. Just East of Bayside on Union Turnpike. It's a little small for a private party. I have only been there for dinner but the food is phenomenal. www.nickandmaggies.com
I live in whitestone :) yeah!! Anyway theres an awsome resturant that not too many people know about for some reason its really nice inside!!! very cozy its called Erin's Isle.. but they serve northern Italian food. It right off francis lewis blvd if you take it al the way down. Let me know if you need any more info!!! not too $$$ either!!
FYI --- DO NOT blow the light by Giordanos!!! There is a camera on that light (intersection of Northern and Douglaston parkway) that takes pictures of cars that run the light, even yellow lights.
Giordino's is a great place and they have a private room too! When I have gone there for dinner the prices were very reasonable! You may also want to try Farells (sp?) in Bayside. it's on bell just south of Northern

Isnt there a Giordano's in Great Neck also?
There used to be a Giardini in Roslyn, but they closed, which is a shame because they had a beautiful room with a skylight.
My FSIL also has ALL of her family parties there...I have been there so many times I can't even count! LOL
They actually had two private rooms one holds up to 35 the other 50. When I baptised my son I had the room that holds 50 we had soooo much food and open bar and cake for 32.50 a head
