Rehearsal if ceremony is held at reception site???

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be at East Wind Caterers in June. Does anyone know how rehearsals are held when the wedding is at a reception site? My fiance's mother said we don't have one. And I don't know that our priest will come to it either; neither of us mentioned, or even thought of it, it when we talked to him and it was left off that we'll call him a week before the wedding with directions. I'm not sure how to handle this.

Rehearsal if ceremony is held at reception site???

Karen, We are having our ceremony on site as well. We were told that there would be a run through a half hour before ceremony start time.....and all your party should be there early to participate in this. hope this helps!

Rehearsal if ceremony is held at reception site???

Both my ceremony and reception are being held at Miller Place Inn in June and we are having a rehearsal the thursday before our saturday wedding. We have met with both the priest and cantor and never mentioned to either about our plans for this but understood that our coordinator would run the actual rehearsal. Its really up to you and what youre comfortable with. Im sure East Wind will accomodate you. Good luck! Stacey

Rehearsal if ceremony is held at reception site???

I am also an Eastwind bride and I know they will do a run thru a half hour before the wedding but this wont help as because I dont want to be seen by anyone before the ceremony. We are having the rehersal at our home a few days before and spoke to our officiant...he will stop by. As for the ceremony mucisians we are just going to have to make do...maybe Ill have my brother cue then when to start the music. I dont think there is a whole lot other than that that can be done. Speak to your priest...I am sure he will be happy to accomadate you where ever you decide to have the rehersal. Good luck...Are you getting married in the Country Gardens or the Estate? We are in The Estate.

Rehearsal if ceremony is held at reception site???

Hi! I am also getting married at East Wind. Our wedding is on a Sunday evening in the gardens. There is a wedding before ours so there will not be any time to do a run through before hand. I called East Wind and they said we could come on Thursday evening for a rehersal. I don't have an officiant yet, but I don't think it would be necessary to have them there. As long as we can go over what everyone in the bridal party is doing will help to ease everyone's nerves that day.

Rehearsal in the back yard :-)

My rehearsal dinner is in my parents back yard. My dad has taken measurements at the catering hall (Flowerfield) and he will tape an outline of the ceremony site. Then we will walk through it, make beleive. My cousin will act as the officiant. My officiant is giving m a detailed copy of our ceremony before hand, everyone is getting a copy and a seperate list of their particular duties. Other than that, I can't do any more to be prepared.
