It could something along these lines: Please join us for a rehearsal dinner in honor of Mary and Sue, date, time and place. It does not have to be very formal.

Here were mine:



The outside of the envelopment was sealed with a rectangular seal that said:
'Practice makes perfect...
(we hope!)'

And the inside read:

Rehearsal & Dinner

I normally don't ask these questions but couldn't help myself. I'm in the 'Invitation' phase for my wedding and LOVE your rehearsal invites. Do you mind if I ask you where you got them and how much they were???? THANKS!!!!!

I actually worded it...

Now that the stressing and planning is done,
let's get together for dinner before the bride and groom become 1!

And just listed the info as to where it is, etc.
