Re: Rehearsal Question

are you having a dinner afterwards? and will the people who need to rehearse be at work still if you do it at 4 or 5? if so, do it at 7 if it will take about an hour- and then go to your dinner if you are having one afterwards.

Re: Rehearsal Question

I thought the church tells you what time your rehearsal is, and how long it would be. Then you add travel time and that's what time dinner is. I would call your ceremony location and see what they say. Also, depending on the day of the week, people might have to work.

Re: Rehearsal Question

i thought about the people working thing, but... i dont want it to be too late. i would have gladly accepted 6pm but that's the one time i can't have. if i pick 7pm we wont be done until 8pm, at the rd place until 8: 30pm, eating until 9pm, etc... is that too late?

Re: Rehearsal Question

our rehersal is at 7:30, so we wouln't be getting to the rest. until late as well, maybe it is a little better that way that way people wouln't have to rush around after work. i know eating that late seems funny, but it should be okay. thankfully, our rehersal is on the thursday before the wedding, not the night before.

Re: Rehearsal Question

IMO, I would take 5pm. That way by the time the dinner starts it will be 6pm or a little after and then you can be sure you get out of there at a reasonable hour the night beofer the wedding.

We did not have a choice so our rehearsal was at 4pm, followed by drinks at 5pm and then dinner at 6pm. We left the restaurant at 9pm.

We had our rehearsal the day of the wedding. They did the rehearsal w/out me at 10:30 am b/f my 12pm wedding. It worked out fine. We had a meet and greet dinner the night before.

Re: Rehearsal Question

you know your attendees better than us. Do you work close enough to shoot over to the ceremony from work, or if they miss it, do they have a vital role?? I'd consider them missing the rehersal, but having an earlier dinner/thank you time.

the last rehersal I went to all we did was walk down the aisle. They did no vow rehersal, cueing readers, etc. (but I guess all churches are different?)

I was told my church only does rehersals on thursday (wedding is sunday) I was kind of bummed when I found out my MOH might not arrive in town until the next day (friday) I really wanted her there

Re: Rehearsal Question

I guess it depends on your bridal party. My Church only does rehearsals on Friday and the first one starts at 7:30. I don't think they are too involved though since they said they are only a half an hour. At first I thought this was late and was going to try and switch to 7. But I realized I have people traveling long distance and I wouldn't want them to have to leave work too early that day. So I left it. But I am trying to find a restaurant very close so we all don't get too hungry!!

Re: Rehearsal Question

We were given the choice of 6 or 7 on Friday night. I decided to have it at 6:00pm (lasts for an hour), that way dinner could be at 7:00-7:15pm.
