Rehearsal/rehearsal dinner question

Is it possible to have only your BP and family walking down the aisle at the actual rehearsal and then have the OOT guests meet you at the restaurant for the RD? I'm thinking this may be easier for everyone so that we can print out directions from their hotel to the restaurant and they don't have to drive to two places. Is this a good idea?

ETA: also, the restaurant will be in Queens we think, but the rehearsal in Mineola, so it would be a little drive for the OOT guests if they went to both.

Absolutely.

We're not inviting everyone to the actual church rehearsal, just the BP, parents and readers.

We're not inviting OOT guests or significant others of the bridal party to the rehearsal. They'll be meeting us at the restaurant for the dinner.

We invited everyone who was in the ceremony which included some aunts and grandparents.

Then we included the out of town guests....no need to include anyone who is not in the wedding ceremony unless you really want to.....

i know that's how i want to do it but my FMIL wants to invite the OOT people to the church too and she wants to invite a bunch of people that are not even involved to the RD!! like her neighbors and friends!!! ughhhh...
i'm going to try and push her into doing it this way!
