Rehearsals

How far in advance can you book your rehearsal? I want to book our resturant for our rehearsal dinner but I want to make sure the actual rehearsal itself is booked first. Also, Im getting married at the RH so I dont know if that makes a difference.

Most RH's only allow rehearsals the day of the wedding, just earlier that day...definitely talk to them first

I was having issues finding a place to allow dinner parties on Saturday nights...so the day of the week your rehearsal will be on is a major factor!

We're not sure we can do a rehearsal either but regardless of the actual 'rehearsal' - we're doing the dinner... Heck - it's the only friggin' thing his parents are paying for - so we're doing it!!!!

Your RH may tell you that you have to wait until kinda last minute - to make sure they can't book the date for your rehearsal...so it's all up to them really...

You could probably do it now. I actually have to call my church next week and set it up. When we registered for pre-cana we were told we could book it. I do know that some RHs do not hold rehearsals, so I would call and ask about it and then take it from there.

Are you serious? Why wouldnt they let you have a rehearsal the day before? Im getting married on a Friday so it's not like there will be a wedding going on the night before. Holy crap, I never even heard something like that!

yeah you will see on here most girls who are getting married at RH are only allowed like 30 mins the day of...or especially try to find info from girls who already are married and had ceremony at RH, i always see them say that either they didn't have a rehearsal or they managed to ask for about 30 mins to rehearse the day of

I am getting married at my RH also.. We are able to have our Rehersal the Wenesday before the wedding. (my wedding will be a saturday). I would talk to your banquet manager to see if they can accomodate you.

I am also getting married on a friday at the Inn at East Wind.

BUT I dont want to make everyone drive out there the thursday before the wedding and then the friday the next day.

So we might try to have the rehearsal the weekend before? We have to see.

Re: Rehearsals

My rehearsal is the day before the wedding. Getting married on a Friday night, having the rehearsal Thursday. My RH was very cool about it. We had to do the rehearsal dinner the day before due to out of town guests. I couldn't ask them to take an extra day off so they could come in two days early.

Because Saturday is a big money day for restaurants.. I called 3 different places and they wouldn't do it. No Friday or Saturday night private parties. I think we're going with Jackie Reilly's because they allow it and you girls said such lovely things about the place!

yeah i understand, but there are alot of restaurants who have a separate party room. You need to look at restaurants that do this. THe place I love has an upstairs room for this...i think youre looking only at restaurants that have one area and that would mean that they would have to shut down for you which would cost ALOT of money and they prefer not to.
