Rehersal Dinner

How many of you were able to have your rehearsal ( church wise) on a Friday night?

I was talking to my priest yesterday and he scheduled me for a Friday night.

Ours was a Friday night at 6:15; our dinner was at 8. We had a Sat. night wedding. If I had it to do over, I would have had my rehearsal the Friday before the wedding...I was really nervous/stressed.

Ours was Friday at 6, RD at 7:30....it worked out fine for us and was necessary, all GM and us not living on LI.

They were pushing Thursday but I finally got them to agree to Friday night.

Does anyone know how long the rehearsal is?

We're getting married on a Sunday and our rehearsal dinner is on the Friday before.

Does anyone know how long the rehearsal is?

Rehearsal is quick; 1/2 hour tops. We were the first scheduled rehearsal, so were out quickly. Sometimes they get backed up but are generally fast.

I hope we can have ours on a Friday, otherwise not many people will be able to make it!

Thanks ladies-

almost everyone I know that used our church had the rehearsal on a Thursday-

Just wanted to see if that was common

We are having our RD on a Friday night. The wedding is on Sunday and I didn't want to do it the day before so Friday was perfect.

we have to have the friday night before becase most of the wedding party is from out of town and it impossible for them to be with us any other night

I'd ask the church now if you want a Friday so they can put you on the schedule. The receptionist at my church said that usually they have a 5:30 wedding but none was scheduled yet. When she transfered me to the priest he was like how's 6pm? I moved it to 7pm so if people wanted to work part of the day and if someone wanted to get married at my church that night they could.

The actual rehersal will be on the Thursday, but the dinner will be on the Friday.

Due to traveling issues, most people will not be able to be there on Thursday.
