It depends when the church schedules them (if you are getting married in a church), if not you can do a week before or a couple of days before. My brother had to have his the Friday before a Sat. am wedding & it was bad, everyone was exhausted & hung over.

We're having ours at the Wantagh Inn

We're getting married on a Sunday. We booked our rehearsal dinner for the Thursday evening immediately before the wedding.

Deer Park - Try Papa Joes on Commack Road. It across the street from the Home Depot and Kohls. Great food and they even have a private room if you have a big party. I have been to a few showers there and everything was always great.

We are thinking of having it at this new pizza place/ italian restuarant here in Rocky Point, the night before. Over by you, there's a restuarant on Rt. 111, by Kinkos in Happauge. I can't remember the name, but it's delicious Italian food. Also, I know in Brentwood there's Mi Tierrita (sp?). It's pretty informal, but the food is delish! And there's also Sweetwaters on 111 in Happauge too

Do you really have to have a rehersal dinner? 'Cause I wasn't planning on having one.

I was going to suggest this. What kind of food are you into? I think the other place someone suggested is sweetwaters. There's a bunch of cute places on Main Street you can check out also. We're having our dinner right after rehearsal which is Thursday evening; the wedding is on Saturday.

I'm still debating in having one but for sure the only thing that stops me is the OOT party.

You don't have to but it's a nice thank you to your BP- you can always keep it small.

Mine will be the Friday before a Sat morning wedding but I think people will watch their liquor...I hope. We wanted to include the OOT BM and family so this is our only choice. We had the rehersal a week ago tho and went to a diner and everyone paid for their own meal. We are including all our OOT guests and close family as thanks yous mainly b/c when FH dad passed so many people were very generous- that's what works for us- do what works for you!!!
