I know my friend's rehearsal dinner was about $1000 for about 20-25 people, but I think they may have had a bit of a hookup.

It really depends on where you want to have it and how many people you're having. If you're going to serve alcohol of course that'll bring the price up as well, so sometimes just beer/wine/soda is served.
I had my RD at my mom's house; it was really laid back and was the least expensive option for us. I did price one place that was $18.95pp for a basic package, and I think like $26.95pp for their deluxe.

ours was 29.95 a person Just food plus tax and gratuity...-we had about 35 people... and the bar bill-open bar-came to 800-but it was pretty darn good!
