Some people do it depends on how close your are to him i think . Im not inviting him

We're inviting him to RD & reception as a courtesy. We don't even know who is marrying us yet (our priest is getting transferred & a new guy is coming in) but I feel it's a nice gesture.

We are, only because he is a family friend and he is coming to PA from Michigan just to marry us!

We're not. Although he's great, we dont really know him very well (outside of marrying us) and he's not a family friend or anything. Unless you've known your priest for a long time or he's a close friend, I dont think its necessary.
