I am having a wedding in the winter at Garden City. Any ideas about where to hold a rehersal dinner, for about 40-45 people?

I am always talking about it because I love it so much but Waterzooi is great. Novita is right next door. We're having engagement party @ The Orchid restaurant in Garden city. From what i hear the food is GREAT

Waterzooi is yummy belgian food. They have a great martini bar.

Any places between there and bayside? The service is in bayside. But the wedding reception and out of town guests are in garden city...

I just went to one at the 7th Street Cafe a couple of weeks ago. To be honest, the food was a little disapointing, but it could have been an off night. Other times I've been there (not for a big group) it's been great.
I have to say though, Cafe Formaggio is my FAVORITE place in GC. We eat there with my mother all the time. The food is great!
