obviosly the bridal party... do you also invite immediate family...
it seems that most of my immediate family is in the bp except one aunt/uncle/cousin.... should I invite them anyway?
what is the normal procedure?

Re: Rehersal dinner
No.. immediate family normally just means parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters. If I started inviting my aunts, uncles and cousins half our wedding would be there!

Re: Rehersal dinner
I plan to just have my BP. Aunts/uncles/cousins would add about 60 extra people!
What kind of RD do you want? at a restaurant or a laid back BBQ? a BBQ you can invite more people.

I believe you invite parents, grandparents, bridal party including their dates, readers and any out of towners. If its only a few people that would be missing I would just invite them!

It also depends on when you have it. Some people don't have it the day before and so therefore OOTers wouldn't be around to attend. FH was in a wedding recently where only the BP was invited, not even with a guest so I didn't go. I think anything goes.

Re: Rehersal dinner
well we were going to have everyone who is participating in the wedding who ever wanted to come....i know things arent like this in NY but were only paying for BP and whoever want to come they have to pay for their own food....like extra people like ushers hostesses etc...

Re: Rehersal dinner
It really can be as many or as little as you want/can afford.
My sister had her BP, all 4 sides of family (her mothers, my fathers/us, and my BIL's family), and that included aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. It was a decently large party, maybe 30-40 easy.
We're going to HAVE to have just as many. We don't have a divorced situation, but FH's family doesn't do anything without the aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their 'immediate' family is 17 people, and that's just the way it is. Sigh...I hope we're not paying LOL.

Some people invite their out of town guests but it depends on how many you are having. In my case that would end up including half the wedding. But if you only have a few its a nice gesture.
